Don't forget that today is pancake day!! Yum!!!

i've found this gorgeous sauce in Tesco called Discovery New York Italian Big Flavour Pasta Sauce in Hot Pepper & Cheese flavour... smooth creamy cheddar with a hit of jalapeno.
We've had it on pasta, and it's really good.... but tonight, im going to cook some chicken in the sauce, and stuff the chicken into pancakes.   :)

And tomorrow is Ash Wednesday... Im giving up bread for Lent.  If you could see how many slices of toast i eat in a day, you'd know this is a big sacrifice!

We bought pancakes in a packet!  Ha!  I can't believe it's come to this, but my "American" pancakes are always too thick for DH's taste.   ::)

Going to add some bacon and hash browns and pretend we're at IHOP.   ;D

It's gonna have to be the British style for the DH tonight. Next time it'll be American style blueberry ones!  :)

Oooh, that sound good Otter....

My DH does love American pancakes, but he wouldnt accept having them served up for tea or supper... they are for breakfast only, as far as he is concerned (silly man!)... so my chicken/cheese/pepper stuffed pancakes will of course be the English/crepe type.

I have a jar of that in my cupboard too!

We're doing British style pancakes with lemon and sugar for pudding tonight.  Mmm.

Still torn between this idea and making blueberry pancakes w/slabs of bacon (and I mean slabs!) for tea instead.  Oldest son has to go to Scouts tonight, so it's a rushed evening!

I just commented to my "colleague" -- to ask if she knew what IHOP is -- she's been to TEXAS and she's BEEN!!!  Whoooooooo HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!  There's somebody who understands me when I say IHOP!  ;D

DH isn't wild about American pancakes unless they are blueberry. He finds them too heavy and he doesn't really like syrup (this goes for British golden syrup as well). Silly man!

I want bacon but will save that for the weekend I think.
