I am leaning towards the pancakes & bacon for tea thing - hubby loves the "breakfast for dinner" theme and I do have some nice blueberries at home that need to be eaten!

Hey - you're on our rail line - any time you want to come visit our neck of the woods, you are more than welcome!

I think we still have a Bluewater trip that needs to take place? ;)

I don't like British pancakes. Somewhere between a French crepe and an American pancake, with lemon juice squirted on it. No, thanks.

MMM, I miss Pancake Day!

Andy loves American pancakes... I like them OK but adore the British version- similar to crepes. Oh, yum!

Well I did a nice lot of savoury potato pancakes and then some normal pancakes for supper so it was like breakfast and dinner all rolled into one.  I guess they were American as they came from an American cookbook, but they are on the thinner side as I add quite a bit of milk and eggs.  Perhaps they are a compromise?  ;D  We had one each with lemon (fresh not squeezey) and sugar and then one with maple (again real) and butter/jam etc.  Rounded it off with Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Maple Bacon and it was lovely.

I'd have thought that would make your cooking life a lot easier...  steak & chips, chicken & chips, sausage & chips... ?

My DH wont eat anything that doesnt have a sauce on it (not talking about ketchup or brown sauce!) ... and sometimes i find myself running low on sauce ideas.

Yep!  Though using requires a second meal in our household.  I daren't try it on baby yet!

BTW, nice to see I'm not the only woman that watches Soccer AM.
