Hah! My DH is a tiny bit like that. He used to be worse. It was always 'where the sauce?'

Argh! Drove me insane. I finally told him that if he always had to have food with sauce, he could bloody well make our meals. He's much, much better now and even loves some of our non-sauce meals.

Stacey, I'd go insane if I were you! I hope he eats some veg... should we send Dr Gillian McKeith after him to make him eat his greens?!  ;D
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

My DH is the opposite.. He'll eat anything.loves my cooking..easily can pack on the weight..  so it's me who has  to watch portion control for him.. LOL!!    he has  gotten into  eating fruits and  veggies  because of me..Before,  his family never really did  because they  don't really make them  tasty..  with me, he  knows  about olive oil, garlic, spices.. anything to make things a bit  'nicer"..  We  did do pancakes  (American ones)  yesterday morning..  I have never  done or even experienced the British kind  with lemon and all that..  oh well..  wasn't invited  at the in laws and  have no idea  how to make them.. Again DH  loves  my kind and is accommodating to anything I make  so  I can't complain..

Stacey, I feel for you..   do you like to cook in general??  That would be hard  if you did..

I love pancake day - but we do it in our own style. We had american style pancakes for breakfast with maple syrup or homemade blackberry syrup, I gave the kids chocolate (nutella) filled pacakes in their lunches and for dinner we had garlic, mushroom and leek stuffed crepes. Dessert was whipped cream an blueberry or chocolate&banana  filled crepes.  We are pancaked out! :D

All these pancakes that your ignorant British husbands are snubbing? Send them my way.  [smiley=chef.gif]

We had blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, and pork and leek sausages.  Yum!  Baby was most entertained too.  He spent the entire dinner picking blueberries out of his pancakes and calling them balls.   :o

That reminds me of the VERY VERY old Doonesbury strip where baby Kim (now married to Mike Doonesbury) is picking the raisins out of her oatmeal - of course, she's calling it "shrapnel" as she's newly rescued from Vietnam.... :P

Stop stop, they all sound so Yum!!!!

Well, he would be easy if I ate chips!  But I try not too!  And I don't like to eat meat everyday.

He puts ketchup on EVERYTHING!!!!

He does eat some veg, not much though I have introduced him to new things though!

DITTO!!!

I just commented to my "colleague" -- to ask if she knew what IHOP is -- she's been to TEXAS and she's BEEN!!!  Whoooooooo HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!  There's somebody who understands me when I say IHOP!  ;D

Have you ever heard Lewis Black's *routine* about IHOP being his "gym"?  Hilarious!

oh god, don't say the name lewis black......i hired him for a corporarte gig.....he offended one of our clients and didn't follow the rules.....yikes.......

but he was SOOOOO funny.  out of 200 people 2 got offended.

just turns out they were planning on spending some bucks with us!!!!!  But really......they should not have been at the event.  They were from a publication of a strict religious group.  (no drinking, smoking, etc.)  We warned them, and yet they came....and wigged.

*sigh*  But he is such a funny guy!
