I had SUBWAY last night.....

and was it good! i'm going there for dinner too! i just noticed there was one at baker st., my tube stop!

turkey on italian with lettuce, tomato, cuke and onions with HONEY MUSTARD that was freaking FANTASTIC.

i was a subway fan in boston, got a veggie delight wrap at least twice a week!

mmmm. tonight, i'm having a steak and cheese wrap!  how i missed it!

(they don't sell baked lays though.  BAH)

It's fab huh!!!  I get turkey with everything except corn.  I wanted the horseradish but the guy said they stopped selling it, so I got honey mustard!!!!

Love the Subway by us as well.  Fast food is  the  'treat' night  or day or whatever.  DH  isn't  a  big  one on it  so he gets amazed at how  I can handle all the questions  and  order specifics..lol!   I get more a kick out of  a fast food place I recognize than  any curry place  any day.. (ducking for cover)   

We had Subway at the weekend too yummo! we now have no less than FOUR Subways within walking distance of our flat.  I always ask for extra jalepenos and they always say "are you SURE? they're HOT"

Subway is the best fast-food. (Although, while the staff learn their trade in these UK Subways, it isn't always so fast.)

Healthy respect to the 6" turkey & ham, no cheese, extra olives, no hot peppers.

James HATES all the questions.  He always makes me do the ordering.   

I don't give them a chance to ask any questions, I just say "I want veggie delite on italian bread with everything and extra jalapenos"

Oh they still ask!     Do you want cheese?  Do you want mayo?   James can't cope with it all.

on a side note, i had an older man following me saying 'can i have some?' and licking his lips on the walk home, as i was being one of those people i can't stand and eating as i was walking i said 'not much left, sorry'

he then said to me 'that's ok.  better not eat too much of those, you'll get fat'.  and ran away.  i almost smacked him!!!!!

and i'm dreaming of my steak and cheese low carb wrap.  MMMM.

There' s a Subway at Reading Station. Yummy! They also just put in a Bagel Factory but the prices were so extortionate I had to pull myself away  - no matter how delicious a hot crusty bagel with cream cheese is on the way to work. *sigh*

Ahh...what time were you there to get your sub at Reading station? While I try to stay away from the carbs (bread) I really wanted one this week. We tried the Subway on Friar Street but they were closed at 6:30 when we got there!

Longing for an Italian cold cut! If the one in the station is open longer it would be great to know! 

As for the bagels....love them! There is a bagel place (may be the the Bagel Factory on one of the side streets in Reading but...agree way too expensive!). Found the same chain in London...again, same price but didn't have an issue paying for it...because it was London!

Yep, the side-street one and the station one are the same - Bagel Factory. I think Subway opens at 7? Although I usually stop on the way home to decompress a bit before the kid-mania begins.
