Is it normal for cats to eat grass?

It's completely normal.  It can help aid in their digestion.  We buy "cat grass" for ours, which is really just wheat grass (it doesn't make them vomit, which normal grass can do).  It's great for indoor cats who were once able to roam freely outdoors.  Plus, it's hilarious to watch them grazing like cattle.

I saw some seeds for Cat grass at Safeway and we talked about getting some! We wondered if it would be just cruel, though- since she doesn't seem to be able to chew it off or anything. She recently had 6 teeth out that were abcessed and only has about six front ones left (poor sweetums...). Maybe it's an idea anyway?

I don't think it could hurt, especially since she already seems interested in it.  Plus, it's super-easy to grow.  The worst thing that happens is she gives up and you have a lovely little patch of grass to enjoy.  :)
