Be sure to search the archives, because this question came up a few weeks ago and there were quite a few answers.

We just write as big a check as we can and bite the bullet on the flat fee that Lloyds charge.

We transfer through Barclays as a money order to our bank as the fee is only about £8.

The best way? Is to wait until the dollar goes up! IF it goes up.  :(
