Oreos, Fritos and OM bacon Oh my!
« on: March 08, 2005, 10:53:45 AM »
Okay so I did not eat any of these things nor bring them back with me.... but.... if you are really  craving them and can get a cheapy flight like we did (£25 RT) then you can go to Barcelona or Girona and head for a supermarket.  I was quite shocked to see both the oreos and Fritos there.  That or I can be bribed to bring some back next time we go as I think we will be taking the car and ferrying over so I can come back loaded with even more books and jamon and ceramics. :P

I've found oreos in an asian supermarket here in the Birmingham area, I was surprised to see them!!

I get Oreos in Sainsburys - and at the off-licence down the street!

Yes, and in Tescos, three local food shops in Golders Green Road, in Victoria Station's various food shops. They're everywhere. Now if you could say the same for Mounds bars...

Or Almond Joy, even.

You can get those here. I can't recall what they're called here but they're the same thing. Although I don't think I've seen one with nuts.

I do miss Peppermint Patties, though. Big hunky kinds.

And Skors. I had one of those while I was visiting home last month. I thought my teeth were going to rot in my head but it oh so nice.

yeah I personally have only seen oreos once here... and the normal kind... there they had the different types...though to be honest I don't look for them in the UK anyways..

Bounty & Mounds are most definitely not the same animal!

Just wish it were easier to find the "plain" chocolate Bounty instead of the milk chocolate.  :-\\\\
