Hi,

Does anyone of have any info regarding the above mentioned form?  My accountant told me I need to fill it out if at anytime last year my the total balance of my foreign accounts (bank, securities, etc) went over $10000 and it needs to be sent to the US Treasury Dept before June 30th.  This form has to be sent every year your total foreign accounts balance goes over $10000.

I only have a UK bank account and my balance last year did go over $10000 so I have to send in this form.  Does anyone know if this a recent requirement by the US?

Thanks.

It's a Treasury Department filing. As far as I know it's been required for several years now. Here's a link for you with the information and where to download the form.
