K-1 Fiancee Visa (my personal timeline if you're interested)
« on: March 16, 2005, 04:55:16 PM »
I am moving back to the UK, but we just got our Adjustment of Status interview and thought I would post our experience.  I know how gut wrenching it is to wait.

Feb 10 2003 - Applied for I-129F through Texas Service Center
October 03 2003 - Husband receives K1 (fiance/e visa) in passport
October 06 2003 - Husband entered US via Atlanta, GA.  No hassel at POE, no EAD stamp in passport
November 08 2003 -  Married to love of my life
January 05 2004 - Filed Adjustment of Status, Application for Employment Authorization
February 2004 - Appointment for biometrics in Memphis
March 2004 - EAD received (good for 1 year)
*I never received a Notice that they had received our AOS paperwork.  I was told not to worry about it*
March 15 2005 - Received interview date in Memphis of March 29, 2005.

I know this may  not be applicable for many on this message board, and may belong under another heading, but here's the info!

If you have questions about the process or need to get an idea of documents, etc. please feel free to PM me.

Now, we begin the process of moving back to the UK!

Trisha

I would also say that our AOS interview came as quite a surprise given the current posted processing dates, but application has been processed relatively fast from the start.
had a bit of a wobble.

Thanks for that post! :) Good luck on your move back to the UK- seems like that is a lot less hassle sometimes.  ::)
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!
