Hello Everyone
« on: July 06, 2003, 07:00:38 PM »
Hi all,
I'm Mark, i am a native here in England. I live in Hitchin in Hertfordshire, (about 30 miles north of London) and have 2 wonderful kids, a 10 y/o son and a 6 y/o daughter.
My girlfriend, Debbie (her nickname here is Wild) currently lives in New York State, but we are looking at ways that we can be together. She does use this site more than i do, and has posted quite a few times.
We can't wait till the 26th July when she comes to visit me with her kids. It's Debbie's second time here, but the first time for the girls.
Debbie and i have found this site to be an excellent resourse for information to help us be together permanently. We still don't know how we can do it yet, but we will.
Thanks to all of you who have helped us so far.
Mark

Hello Mark!  Welcome aboard.  Perhaps I should say 'howdy neighbour', as we aren't that far from you.  I'm in Sawbridgeworth (Herts), which is between Harlow (Essex) and Bishops Stortford (Herts).

Hope you and Debbie have a wonderful visit!  :)

Hi Mark!

Welcome to the site!  I am sure like most here that understand totally what it is like to have your love so far away.

It's hard to cope with the distance but when you get to finally see each other again after a long time it is worth every moment.

I wish I had been able to find this site when my husband and I were apart, but it still helps me a lot.

I wish you and Wild all the best! :)

Hello there Mark...  Welcome to UKY...  as a lady that has been patiently waiting to be with my love over there for 3 years now, I completely sympathize with you desire and determination to be together...  Tom and I will finally marry this fall, then I will finally head home to the country I have also grown to love.

Shel

Enjoy your visit with Wild, I am sure it will be a fantastic time...  as well with the children.

Hi Mark, I lived in Hitchin for 2 years before moving to exciting Stevenage  ::)  I've been in Stevenage now for 22 years and I definitely prefer Hitchin. Welcome to the board.

Hi,
Thanks for the welcome everyone.
SAF, where do you and hubby live now? Are you in Fort Lauderdale? A bit more exotic than Letchworth.
Only 2 weeks now till i get to spend some time with Debbie. I can't wait.

Hi Mark and welcome to UKY!  Glad to see another guy/significant other posting on the boards!

I was finally was able to move to the UK to join my English fiance (Keith/Kicker) last month!  You're right, this is a great site to get info. on how to make the permanant move either to the UK or the US, whichever way you decide to go.

I know you and Wild must be counting down the days until she and her kids arrive!  Have a wonderful visit! [smiley=love.gif]

Life should NOT be a journey to the
grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand,
wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
