Gulp,,,
« on: March 23, 2005, 12:35:09 PM »
Today I booked my driving test,, my instructor says I am ready.  I think she has been fantastic,, I am so glad I found her. I am taking the test in automatic,, but even in automatic, it's still a very picky test. Fingers crossed I pass it the first try, otherwise I am cutting it so close, that I will have to take the theory all over again before I take the practical again. Eek!

Best of luck to you, tebs! I passed mine (also on an automatic) in November. First try! Woohoo! Don't get stressed out -- it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. The examiner was friendly and really tried to put me at ease. I hope your experience is a good as mine! GO TEBS!!

I agree that the hardest part of the test is dealing with the road conditions and maneuvers.
Driving a stick is really just as easy as driving an automatic once you get used to it so once you get
to that point where you're comfortable I would imagine the vast majority would fail on actual road rules
or a maneuver gone a bit wrong.  It's certainly nothing like the ultra-easy US version of the test!

You'll do fine in the automatic...less maneuvours :d

Just remember to make those movements (mirror, signal, mirror) visible and often for the instructor!!!!!

*fingers crossed*

Uh....need an automatic car?
