Tonight, it's either roast chicken or bangers and mash.  I'm leaning toward the bangers since I'm going out to lunch with a freind today and doubt I can be arsed to do a roast dinner.

Fruit smoothies are a HUGE hit our house.  My blender will hold 3 pints and there's never a drop left.

The favourite seems to be:

1 fresh pineapple
1 can light coconut milk
2-3 bananas (adjust for desired thickness)
a handful of ice cubes to cool

Hey, Aimiloo, that recipe has the added benefit of working very nicely with a splash or two of rum.  ;)

Mmmm. I luuuuurve mashed sweet potatoes!!!! Stacey, just cut them into peeled chunks and boil them until they're soft but not falling apart, then mash them up with a little butter (don't need milk 'cause they've got high water content) and salt and pepper! Mmmm. Then grill the sausages for a long time 'til they go really brown and caramel-y! YUM. I wish we were having that for dinner! I think we'll have spaghetti bolognaise 'cause I have some mushrooms I need to use up and 'cause the football is on tonight and I can't be wasting time in the kitchen!!!  ;D
