chocolate fudge devils food cake and it's got fresh strawberry filling...as requested by the sprog on for her birthday

I needed comfort food tonight.  I made shrimp creole from scratch over jasmine rice, my mom's recipe, while she and I chatted on the phone.  It was fantastic!!!!!

salmon steaks & cauliflower cheese.
we just had this a few days ago, but DH reaaaaallllly liked it, so im doing it again!

last night it was:

 made: roast gigantic chicken (couldn't find free range organic in the big size   ) with lemon and garlic (roasted in fry light sunflower spray and lemon juice)

boiled carrots

mashed spuds

salad

sweet corn

dessert was mirangue nests with strawberres, blackberries and light creme fraice

Veggie stir fry w/ brown rice and Mr Kippling's Exceedingly Good little apple pies with soya cream (for me) and evaporated milk (for Jamie) for dessert.

I love roasting those gigantic chickens too!  We end up eating on it for days & then I boil up the bones, make stock, and do minestrone or chicken-n-noodles or some such.

after feeding 4 men and myself there wasn't much left carolyn! lol. 

tonight it's pork and apple patties (from farmers market) on rolls with baked fries and salad.

Sat night we were treated to dinner by Elizabeth (Thank you!!!!), and I had a seafood  risotto.  Last night I had seafood on salad.

Tonight is the Sunday roast (chicken, yorkshires, carrots, potatoes, green beans, stuffing, etc.) and possibly a chocolate torte if I decide to make one. Wasn't in the mood to cook yesterday so we went out!  ;)

Last night was a small piece of chicken with some cheese and ham on it (weight watchers from flatmate) and half of a butternut squash.
