I made such a good bacon wrapped spicy meatloaf last night, with steamed broccolli, spinach and I invented (?!) some leek fritter thingys that were delish! I sauteed leeks until soft in a little olive oil + butter with garlic and black pepper, took them off heat and into a mixing bowl, added milk, flour and an egg, then just dropped into a hot pan and crisp fried them, they were lovely :)

tonight I am back at work, so it's horrible Crowne Plaza room service :(

Awwww! Sorry S isn't feeling well. Hope he feels better soon. How was your holiday?

Thanks!  We had a good time, except when he got sick.  Tonight, we had just a very bland grilled chicken, plain rice, boiled carrots & some chicken broth.  Hoping he'll be on the mend soon.

Sounds delicious!!!

We're having peppered steaks, risotto, and probably peas.

Mmm... steak. Your tea sounds good, too!  :)

Bacon and tomato pasta if I don't completely lose the will to live.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Oh no.  That sounds dramatic.

Oh dear. Hope you are having a better day today.  :-\\\\

I think it's gonna be chicken tikka masala with naan bread before I rush off to play Scrabble with MIL.  ;)

Right now it's looking like pork cutlets baked in pear cider with either grilled potatoes and possibly some roasted vegetables.  But I'm still thinking.

LOL... not really.  I'm trying to get us out of rut of 3 years and half the stuff I make is so easy.  I don't think I can drive after I polish off the pear cider that's not going in the dish.  I couldn't have it going to waste you know.  ;)

Are they the ones from that WW blog? If so, I'm gonna have to give them a try next week!  ;)

Oh no, we must never abuse alcohol.  :P
