What's for tea at your house tonight?

I made such a good bacon wrapped spicy meatloaf last night, with steamed broccolli, spinach and I invented (?!) some leek fritter thingys that were delish! I sauteed leeks until soft in a little olive oil + butter with garlic and black pepper, took them off heat and into a mixing bowl, added milk, flour and an egg, then just dropped into a hot pan and crisp fried them, they were lovely

tonight I am back at work, so it's horrible Crowne Plaza room service

Thanks!  We had a good time, except when he got sick.  Tonight, we had just a very bland grilled chicken, plain rice, boiled carrots & some chicken broth.  Hoping he'll be on the mend soon.

I think it's gonna be chicken tikka masala with naan bread before I rush off to play Scrabble with MIL.

LOL... not really.  I'm trying to get us out of rut of 3 years and half the stuff I make is so easy.  I don't think I can drive after I polish off the pear cider that's not going in the dish.  I couldn't have it going to waste you know.
