I ended up making the most amazing posh eggs on toast... lol. Seriously, it was so good we almost cried with joy. I just spread some butter on ciabatta bread and toasted it in the oven, then I topped with scrambled eggs with gouda and spring onion. Served it up with homemade redskin potato wedges. Oh yum. I'll have to make that for a weekend brunch sometime for sure. DH was asking if I could make it again this morning... LOL.

Hotdogs and bratwurst on the grill with coleslaw and salad on the side.

Pasta with broccoli, carrot, and red pepper tossed with sun-dried tomato pesto.  And red wine. Lots of red wine!

Last night we just ate some frozen pizza when we got home after FAR too many pints of Guinness. I barely remember the pizza, and I must not have liked it because most of it was in the bin when I woke up.  ::)

Today, we are nursing the hangover with a lovely roasted lamb joint with homemade mint sauce and homemade gravy, baby potatoes, broccoli, baby Chantenay carrots and homemade Yorkshire pudds. Then a very long nap.  :)

steaks, baked potato, corn on the cob, tomatoes and home made strawberry ice cream
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Oooo--yum!

We had a fairly quickly made pasta and tomato sauce (a lot of help from Lloyd G.).

I was going to do burgers on the grill, but since it's now tipping it down here, it'll be pasta and veggies instead.  Maybe burgers tomorrow...   :(

DH is making a crazy form of carbonara (he's used sausages) and I made a tomato, cuke, and feta salad.

I think we will have some turkey cutlets with mash and green beans.

DH voted for chicken curry instead, so we may have this tomorrow night.  :)

Fending for myself as I am waiting for Mr MLG to come back and he's going to be home late, I think!  :)

Tinned soup and homemade bread maybe?
