Minestrone.  I should put the recipe up on the soup thread.

Soup for dinner! Soup for dinner! I've convinced DH to have soup for dinner!  ;D I'm making a copycat recipe for Panera's Broccoli and Cheese soup. He loves this soup, so it was an easy sell. I'll get some nice bread to have with it.

Hubby made a savoury courgette crumble (another Nigel Slater recipe!), served with salad.  :)

Thanks, Jewlz.  I can't wait to try this.  I appreciate you jotting it down.  I usually throw what I have together, too, but sometimes need other ideas.   :)

However, I'm now officially hungry, but I don't think anything but this pie will do.  You've spoiled me to anything else.   ;D  I was going to make another chicken dish tonight, but may have to try this out instead.

So how did it turn out? Ours was very tasty! I put in some frozen peas along with the leeks. I should have said to use less stock, though, I think I only used about 500ml once I actually poured it in. I just eyeball everything!  :P

Tonight I think we will be having cheese and onion omelettes with hash browns and toast.

A new recipe for me:  Ethiopian chick pea and sweet potato stew!

We'll have chocolate banana cake for dessert (I had bananas that needed using up).

Fending for myself tonight since the BF and kiddo are going to a football match.  I'm thinking rice, beans, and veg.

Tonight I think we will be having cheese and onion omelettes with hash browns and toast.

That sounds really yummy (it's been ages since I've had "real" breakfast food!).

Tonight will probably either be takeaway (if I'm lazy) or leftover soup.
