Vetarian burritos (made with onions, peppers, and zucchini, tomato paste, and lots of Mexican spices) with sesame noodles.

Second Costco trip in a week (I wanted to bring some baked goods into work for Thanksgiving), so I had a jacket potato in the food court.

Chicken soup with fresh ginger added.  My husband is making it for me because I've got a nasty cold.

I've become obsessed with posting pictures of my meals on FB, apologies everyone for the minutia :)

I made vegetable and tenderloin soup for lunch which was LUSH and had chicken/courgette curry and cauliflower rice/peas as a side dish.

I'm at 885 calories for the day, which is alright :)

We are going to have persephone's recipe - Chicken with Creamy Bacon Penne!

I will tinker with it, of course!  I have a leek to use up so that's going in, plus some garlic & mushrooms.  Also I think I'll cut the chicken up into bite size pieces as well.  And I've got pancetta bits for the bacon.  :)

And white wine to drink - what doesn't go in the dish.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

- from Anthem, by Leonard Cohen (b 1934)

The chicken pot pie recipe below with bacon lining the casserole dish and mushrooms added in.  Plus, instead of the crust they suggest, I always make American bread biscuit dough and use that as a top.  It's such a yummy meal!

Hope you like your version of that recipe Mrs. R!   :D

Yum!!!! That sounds so good!

Umm, I just ate loads of the cornbread I made to go in the stuffing this weekend.  [smiley=blush.gif] Total Southern girl comfort food.  :) Plus, I finally perfected the crispy crust in my cast iron skillet, so it was nearly as good as my granny's.  ;)

My mom makes turkey rice soup with leftover turkey, so I'll probably have a bowl of that later on.

We went out for Thai food for our on-the-day Thanksgiving tradition. I had Pumpkin and Prawn Curry!  ;D  Plus we shared Chicken with Basil and Broccoli in Oyster Sauce. Plus 2 starters. We were piggies.

Pumpkin topped, lentil stuffed peppers.  Mr A will probably have hot dogs as well.

sausage and leek hash that has a touch of mustard in it.  So tasty and hopfully enough left over for lunches again!
