Oh,  BTW, I used to make this squid, white bean and Past dish (I made it up!  So not like me) But I don't know where to buy the squid.  I didn't see any in the fresh fish section.  Maybe frozen?  Anyone ever see some in the Frozen Food section?

I'm sure I've seen it fresh and frozen but often it's labelled as 'calamari.'  A fishmongers should have it too.

yeah i've seen it in frozen and fresh!!!!

tonight and tomorrow i'm not at home, so i can't participate.  :(  Friday we're out for greek food and saturday the DH is cooking for me!  I'm voluenteering in the am, and have a dentist appt int he afternoon so i wanted some TLC.  i wonder what he'll come up with.

Sunday night, as that's the first time i'll be cooking, i think i'll defrost some crab claws i bought at costco and do a butter/lemon dip and a salad.  MMMMMMM.  I may just do 2 small steaks and a few crab claws and save them for another time, depending on how i eat the next 3 days!

If the weather stays nice and relatively warm, we'll probably do some lean burgers on the grill.  I'll roast some potato wedges and veggies for DH and I'll probably have my burger (no bun!) with a salad.

(Or I might just go over to azroomie's house for dinner, since we're having the same thing!   :o)

Agreed that home-made breadcrumbs are the best.

Breadcrumbs are called breadcrumbs...

But you need the special breadcrumbs handshake when you're buying them! I don't want poor Carolyn to naively walk into a supermarket and think she can just "ask" for breadcrumbs [smiley=anxious.gif]. Without the handshake, she'll get battered/roasted/whipped etc!

Yes!  That's exactly what I'm afraid of -- I'll be turned into breadcrumbs & thrown out on the street for the pigeons.

Had Cinnamon Bun flavoured PopTarts when visiting my mom in the US last month.  They were okay - I'll stick with the Brown Sugar & Cinnamon ones.  ;)

Last night went out with bf for our weekly night out - had Thai!!  YUMMY!  Tonight I will stop at Marks & Spencer as I head back from the gym & buy some prawns...probably a prawn salad or rice & spicy prawns.

Tonight we're having:

red bell pepper, portobello mushrooms, courgettes and aubergine roasted in olive oil, sea salt and cracked black pepper

tabbouleh with chickpeas and sprouted sunflower seeds

vegetarian chicken cutlets...

followed by Moet & Chandon and ASDA extra special cafe latte cake haha

Well, it's a weird menu but sounds good to me!

I'm going out tonight! Yaye, no leftover curry AGAIN for the third day straight! My aunt & uncle are having a big ol' family dinner at their house 'cause another aunt & uncle are in town for the week. My aunt is an awesome cook, so I'm really looking forward to it. And she always serves yummy cheese after dinner, which is my fave part! And there are usually parlor games as well! Yaye!
