Tonight I had an old standby in the States...heated up some refriend beans with salsa...and used tortilla chips to dip into it all...simple and yummy!

bacon and tomato pasta
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Happy Friday everyone!  Just to say -- I prolly won't be playing for a few days here, as hubby takes over the kitchen tonight & for the weekend.  Still - I love reading (and drooling over) everyone's posts. ;D

she is probably like me and has a fussy husband! we quite often eat different meals, or partly different. Tonight we are actually eating the same thing: swordfish steaks that we got at the market this afternoon with rice & a caesar salad.

No cooking for us today; we're off to a family birthday party later this afternoon where there will be enough food to feed an army.   :D

Saturday -- we were in Harrogate until it was getting too late to think about cooking an evening meal...soooo, we went to our favorite Chinese buffet 'noodle king' there!  There needs to be a smiley for a big, fat bloated person...
