Cuban black beans and rice tonight.  If only I had some cuban bread to go with it... :\\\'(

YUMMMMMM!!!!!!!  Lots of butter and some cafe con leche (excuse the missing accent marks)!

Had risotta tonight with grilled veg. Was good but I think I'll add a bit of white wine next time I cook it.

I made rice-a-roni and fried chicken tonight! The rice-a-roni was a huge hit! (the English people I live with had never tried it before!)

YUMMY! Rice a roni! I craved that tonight and ended up with some really gross garlic rice stuff that neither me or my son enjoyed so we tossed it out and ate cake instead! lol

It's really easy to make from scratch! Just take spaghetti noodles and break them into small pieces, then mix that into the rice. Fry it like you normally would, then add the water and seasoning! I found some garlic seasoning stuff at ASDA that tastes decent in it!

Keep the ideas coming - I may need inspiration again tonight.  Haven't felt like cooking yesterday (or today so far) & last night...well, this is really stupid I know -- but for some reason, I always have issues with cooking green beans (French beans?) -- I either always undercook them or overcook them.  Blah.  Thinking about roast chicken & veg tonight -- I like to do that 'cause I buy a great big roasting chicken & we usually get 3-4 meals out of it & then I do stock > some sort of soup too.  I think it's a good value anyhow.

Last night hubs wanted food fast, and some jerk lady got the last bit of fish i wanted (and have never cooked monkfish so i didn't get that).

we did a chicken stirfy with wholemeal noodles.  thank you waitrose ready cut stir fry veg!

tonight i have a work function, so no cooking for me.  hubs will have soup

tomorrow we're putting a whole chicken in the slow cooker with garlic, shallots, lemon and rosemary (and a bit of basil).  Cook for 7 horus on low and it's heaven.  That with some sweetcorn and a salad.  MMMMM.

Tonight, Mathew.  We're having Chicken-a-la-King.  Probably with Broccoli and Cauliflour.   :)  Because I'm cold and because we have chicken bits to use up.
