OK a third clue - the lead singer's surname is almost a kids TV & books series from the 70s created by Elisabeth Beresford and set on Wimbledon Common.

OK, I don't think I've ever heard of this band, but I'm just going to start guessing some "Anne of" placenames.  Is the band called "Avonlea" by any chance?
