The life of an English spouse houser!

Let me tell you about life as an average spouse to a beautiful young lady :)

Well life started out in an interesting way when my darling wife and I came to London to live, just after we were married.  Firstly cause we had to come here and live with my parents (house prices being what they were), which she wasn't too excited about.  So we move into my room, which is about 10 feet cubed.  Now when we got married we both new what we were letting ourselves in for, that we would be living with my parents at least for a short time, so we put up with the small room and the fact that we had to sleep in a single bed!

As a wedding gift my mum bought us the matress and my sister bought us the frame to our new bed, but we had to endure my old single one for about 2 months while waiting for ours to be delivered (and made from the sounds of things).  Some nights it was very difficult to sleep in the same bed, especially as I snore apparently! :P

My room consisted of my single bed a small table on my side of the bed, a black wardrobe second hand from my brother, a bookshelf, my drum practice pads and a chair!  Yep we fitted all that and a load of clothes and other personal things into a 10 x 10 space!  Anyhow, my dear wife managed to find a job quite quickly, and I followed suit soon after.

Originally my dear wife said to me.  We WILL be out of here within the next 6 months.  Which I thought was a good target to set for ourselves, unfortunately things don't always go as planned and we didn't manage to leave my old family home for a year and a half!!  I just thought that I would share this little story with you as a kind of fable ;).....

(pause for the moral)

If you really want something badly enough you will do anything and be able to overcome all obstacles; move to another country, live with people you can't stand.  I would like to say even though she gets cranky and pissy sometime I am so very proud that I'm married to the woman I am, and so very happy that she and I get along so well and have such a sound and close relationship :) (ok enough gushing from me ;) I admit it, I love her) [smiley=smitten.gif] [smiley=heart.gif]
