« on: April 07, 2005, 01:41:11 AM »
Take this quiz and find out! My sister sent me the link, she's a nurse and got it from a co-worker. According to this my life expectancy is 89.5 not bad considering some of my answers  ;)

oops would help if I included the link..lol

Wow, well we are all going to live long lives  :D Will be interesting to see if someone makes it to 100 on the quiz. My sister got 85.5 and my friend 79.3, haven't seen any men take it yet to see how they compare, though it was interesting to read the reasoning behind the results.

87.5 here. All the women in my family live into their 90's. I dont know any of my aunts even that died before age 90. Like Courtney said Im not sure I would want to live that long!
Interesting what they say about having children after age 35.

Mine's 92.3, which is shocking, frankly.   :o  I do come from very hardy stock, though, so I'm sure that has something to do with it!

I also did the test according to my lifestyle before I changed my way of eating (21 Feb)....with those answers, my life expectancy was 80.6.    That's a wakeup call if ever there was one!   :o

87.9... Hmm... The problem is that the questionnaire seems to be aimed at the elderly...

On the other hand, if you really don't have a reason to not take an aspirin a day, consider taking one daily.
Now, I will under no circumstance take aspirin unless I need it! For a 25-yr-old this is ludicrous!

Then, because my dad lives a 1.5hr drive away, so spontaneous drop-ins are out:
Do what you can to foster meaningful relationships with family and/or friends who live near enough to you that they can spontaneously drop by. Having such people in your lives is conducive to a longer, healthier life and probably helps you manage stress better and enjoy life more

If you can now take those 1-2 cups of coffee and convert them to tea, even better!
Facts: Excessive coffee can be a sign of increased stress.

No, if I don't get my morning mug of coffee, I turn into Satan. THEN stress comes into the picture.

Then, being a healthy young person, I feel it absolutely unnecessary to start worrying about this type of thing:
Not knowing what your HDL level is should be considered a risk factor for heart disease and stroke. It means you are not availing yourself of some key information to decrease your risk for these diseases.
Get your cardiovascular disease risk factors, including your LDL cholesterol level, checked.
Thus, you need to see your health professional and get your blood tested.

I mean, even if I was a hypochondriac this would be a bit much.

Diabetes appears to at least be present in your family.
No, the question asked whether there's anyone with diabetes OR A HEART ATTACK.  Heart attacks do not equal diabetes where I come from.

So yeah. Am I the only one who finds the questionnaire a bit more mature than you are?

92.8.

Funnily enough, both of paternal grandparents and my maternal grandmother all died at the age of 92.

83.7 for me?? Hard to believe! Nobody in my family ever got older than 75 ... I think the test is too generous  :P

But if I give up the crack, I'll beat the lot of you  [smiley=smoking.gif]

However, recent studies have shown that a moderate intake of crack (1-2 times weekly) can drastically decrease your levels of stress which, in turn, can boost your immune system and  lower blood pressure. This information is still controversial.

I'll live to almost 90.  Hope my pension is still around.
I know I'm late - where's the booze?
