Best Milkshakes EVER!
« on: July 31, 2003, 09:43:08 PM »
I was determined to remember the name of this place, but I've forgotten.  It's in the north lanes in Brighton and it's called Shakeaways(or something like that).  And they make fantastic milkshakes.   They have 101 flavours.  I had coffee flavour (yumm.....) the girls had banana and chocolate w/ peanut butter(too good to describe).  I'd highly reccommend it.  :) [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Yum!! :P  I love a good milkshake.

That chocolate w/peanut butter one has me drooling..lol.

Am I the only person who likes malts? I love chocolate malts but every time I mention wanting one or go to Dairy Queen and buy one whoever I'm with says Yuck!! Malts are disgusting!!

When we were small my brothers and I used to absolutely love peanut butter malts. I haven't had one in years. I wonder if I'd even still like them.

I gave up on milkshakes here because no one could make them. This does give me hope!

Where I lived in Florida, there was this place called Cheeburger Cheeburger...had the best malts/shakes/cheeseburgers in the world. Decor was black/white/pint, very '50s. Does anyone else know them? I just wondered if it was a local or national chain.

(Cheeburger Cheeburger named after the SNL skit....but they served Coke, not Pepsi.)

I know them, but then I lived in Florida for many years, so that wouldn't answer your question about it being a national chain. :D

Best milkshake I have had in recent memory was from a hamburger chain in the US called Fuddruckers.  They are really easy to make though.  Milk, Ice-cream, sweetner (sugar if you don't have corn syrup) and whatever flavouring you desire.  I only drink Vanilla milkshakes so thats what I add to mine.

Then you're in luck LisaE! :)  Because I noticed they have a shop in Bath.  And the shop in Brighton had Hershey Bars and Reeces Cups.   :)

If anyone IS down in the Brighton/Hove area, there is a resturaunt called Woodie's Diner  (www.woodiesdiner.co.uk) that's pretty good.  Nice milkshakes made properly from icecream.  Good burgers too.  I recommend them.  :-)

Okay, where is it in Bath? I tried looking them up on the web and there's no mention...they don't even have a web site.  :-/

Have you tried McDonald's milkshakes over here? Aren't they proper milkshakes in the American sense?

If you fancy a decent burger to go with your shake Lisa E, you might want to check out Schwartz Bros in Bath.

I used to eat there all the time when I lived near Bath a few years ago. Their blue cheese burger is (was?)YUM!!

Check'em out and let me know if they still do the best takeaway burgers in the West Country!  ;D
