I moved to london about 2 months ago and have found that I really miss NYC's Craig's List.  Loot seems to be the place to list things for sale, apts., etc., but is there another community message board that is very active in the UK?  When I was a newcomer to NYC, CL was the perfect place to meet people who wanted to meet people.  Anything like that around here?  Or, any advice on meeting people?  Thanks!!

For buying and selling, there's www.ebay.co.uk. To meet people, there are forums such as this, as well as Yahoo (UK) chat rooms on whatever subject interests you...
