Accordingly it is the Mississipi. I googled it just to be sure and it comes up and say Missouri is the longest.   :o

Well I have always thought that the Mississippi was the longest river in North America. I would go so far as to say we were taught that. But I though I better check my facts as I am submitting the question and actually felt dumb googling. Then I had to check several different sites just to be sure. But sure the heck surprised me.
