Take 110g of ricotta cheese and stir it around with a fork to "loosen" it up and make it smoother.  Add 1 tsp of cocoa powder, 1 tsp of splenda, and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.  Stir it up and eat it!  Soooooo good!

You can also make them with lemon zest and lemon extract, vanilla extract by itself, cinnamon and splenda, almond extract, etc.....They taste like frosting!   ;D

I'm afraid to add anything else  now that I like it with just the splenda.  I don't have extract, I have sf syrup (For coffee, but you can use it anywhere) hazelnut and almond.  Maybe I should try it.

Does anyone think that the SBD is easier to follow than Atkins?  I am thinking of giving it a try since I find Atkins a bit dull after awhile

I only lasted on Atkins for about a week.  It made me ill.  SB has been great for me so far!  Never hungry (Well yesterday I was, but I didn't eat enough lunch)  And I eat so well!!!!

I thought SBD was loads easier than Atkins (and more healthy).  I boiled it down to two basic principles:  lean proteins prepared healthfully + loads of veggies (cooked or raw).  Now, of course, there's a little more to it than that & depends on how deep you want to go into it.  You learn the GI score on different veggies & fruits so you learn which ones are better than others in that respect.  I just prefer to simplify things as much as possible. :)

The only reason I've been successful on this is because it IS easy!  I'm not counting out serving sizes or memorising GIs (I'm just eating whatever veggies I want because hey, a veggie is a veggie!).  I've cut out white, fried, and processed foods and sugar completely -- but I don't feel deprived at all.  I really do believe that I can do this for the rest of my life.  I never tried Atkins, but do feel that it'd be far too restrictive for me -- I NEED fruit and brown bread!

Stacey - would they perhaps be with the 'baking supplies' instead?  You know -- like near the flour, sugar, etc? (That's where they are in my local store, not with the spices.)

Thanks, see I didn't think of that!  Find your breadcrumbs yet!?  Seriously on that, it's the only item I have ever asked a person in the grocery store about!  No looks at all :D

No - no breadcrumbs yet, but I'll keep you posted. ;)  (When I really need them, I'm sure I'll work up the initiative!)
