This isn't unexpected, but is one of those little pleasures that I love: Going to bed on a Friday night. Friday is "clean sheet night," and there's nothing nicer than sliding between crisp, clean, fresh, sunshine-smelling white sheets! ;D

Ooh, add a nice long luxurious soak in a tub beforehand and clean jammies and it's my perfect bedtime!

After working really hard and applying for my visa last Friday (having dfs documents in my hands for about 4 hours), so I could have it to the consulate in NYC by Monday, they sent me a message yesterday that they were reviewing the docs.  That was a bit disheartening, but then today I got a message that my visa was approved!!!!  And it will be here on Monday!  Now off to buy my ticket to London!   ;D  ;D  ;D

When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

My unexpected pleasure...

Took Kaitlyn for a haircut after school today.  This is the kid who can't STAND anyone doing anything to her hair!  Anyway, I was expecting tears, but she LOVES it!  It's a really cute, chin length bob, slightly 'stacked' in the back.  Adorable!

I totally forgot my other unexpected pleasure because I was just too excited about my visa.  I got my final paper back at my final tonight.  I got all possible points on the paper.  Also, even though the mid-term was horrific, I think I did really well on the final, as it was much easier.  Today has just been a great day for me, and I can't quit smiling!

congratulations persephone on all counts!

York has had the kind of weather for the last few days that I hope you'll have for your wedding.  It's been lovely.  I've got a friend here and she is loving the shopping (and how she can keep shopping until she has to run over the bridge and catch her train out!)

Weighing myself and finding I've lost seven pounds. And...I'm not trying to lose!

Yes, it's the inlaws......go figure. When I get aggrivated I just stop eating, or eat very little. I ate one meal yesterday. Drank a lot of coffee. It's annoying, but I'm coping the best I can. Mil does all the cooking, so pretty much the only thing on offer around here is asian food. And I'm sick to death of it. I keep going into the kitchen, when it's free, and cooking for myself. Sometimes I just can't be bothered.  :P

My unexpected pleasure for the day was going into a bakery in my village for the first time and hearing an American Accent.  This woman had just moved here from michigan! It was her first time in the bakery too.  How cool was that?  It was great to have chit-chat in the shops this morning!

It was forecasted to be chilly today.  HA!  It was gorgeous!  Spent hours at the park and the kids are nice and tired.   :D
