Thanks, everyone! I can't quite explain how excited I am.  It's like I get to be a real person again.  I never really thought that would happen, as long as we were living out here.  (Tracey, you dodged a bullet!)

My UP is getting a haircut this morning which is actually not too bad  ;)

Another thing that's often underrated. :)  I got a haircut last week while I was in Glasgow.  Just a random place in the mall.  But, in addition to a good haircut, it was so nice to get a half-hour to just relax and unload to a sympathetic person.  I swear, a really good stylist is worth more than five mediocre counsellors! :p  It was the best 40 quid I've spent in ages.

Saw a dress in the window of French connection, figured I would not be able to afford or they wouldn't have it in my size. Turned out to be a LE for London Fashion week so was only £40. yay. They had 3 less, one was in my size, double yay!

Nice! I like it.

My UP is that I'm finally moved! Into a place that I get to stay in for at least a year and I'm living by myself. It's a studio and only somewhat spacious by New York standards but it's ok, it's all mine. :) Very happy. Also very tired and my back is in pain from moving yesterday.

DH surprised me with a snazzy filter coffee machine because I've been feeling homesick (for foods in America  :P ) lately. Me thinks I love him.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Finished all my work for the weekend! This means I get a real Sunday tomorrow! I think I'm going to take myself to the movies to see The Master;D

My baby sister called me last night. She had a bit of an "oops" and I'm now gonna be an Auntie again.     ;D

My boyfriend might be coming over in October! (And he might bring a ring with him, hehehehehe) I really hope he can since I can't come over to see him because of my schooling. I'd hate to have to wait until next year to see him. We're gonna figure out the details this week. Fingers crossed!  ;D

This is probably silly, but it REALLY made my day yesterday! Since we moved our business office from Stafford to Burton-on-Trent area, I now pass a really nice individual Starbucks with free parking on my way to work everyday. (Which before, I was no where near one, would have to go to the mall and try doing the crappy pay parking thing or drive the motorway to a rest stop  :P) also to boot, I can never get the drinks I want because it's all "seasonal" (i.e. peppermint mocha's really...They don't seem to want make them outside of November/December time)

Yesterday I decided on my way home to stop in just to see when the pumpkin flavors come out...She said the 1st of October, then I asked about the peppermint and she smiled and said "All year around!". You have no idea how much this made my day! I ordered my Mocha that I haven't had since last Christmas and walked out with the biggest child-like smile on my face EVER!!!

Saw the orthopaedic consultant today who confirmed that I'm good to go for surgery in January! :) No idea how much it'll help, but I'm really hoping it helps a lot. At that point I'll have had aching/angry hips for over 18 months, so I'm really looking forward to that improving.

He also gave me a cortisone shot for my bursitis in the one hip. It may not work, but again, bonus points if it does (and it only took 5 minutes, plus the annoyance/pain of being injected with steroids).

We had been looking for a new couch with really deep seats like the one we have now and Ikea have just come out with a new one. We were there the other day to get a shelf, and there were 3 of the colour/model we liked in the as is section.

After asking the guy working there if we could borrow a tool to take the back off, he offered to mark it down further so we could take advantage of the delivery service. I asked why he had so many, and he said they had been used in marketing photo shoots.

So we scored £780 worth of new couch for £320 delivered!  :D
