Yesterday, DD (5 1/2 months old) looked at me, smiled, wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me a big sloppy baby kiss on the cheek. Heart...melted.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

After not really considering renunciating US citizenship until this summer, it seems like a more and more practical option.

While the London embassy won't have appointments until spring (boo), the Edinburgh one has them this year (yay!). So exciting to contemplate having only one more US tax return to file. ;)

And my dad (and possibly my mom) is willing to sponsor us for family-based visas to the US should we decide we want to live there in the future. (Highly unlikely, but you never know...)

As silly as this sounds, for me it was just finding something that just brought back good wam fuzzy feelings and memories that I hadn't felt in a long time! I love it when that happens!

Hubby surprised me with taking me out to dinner for our anniversary at Prasad, the vegetarian Indian restaurant which won the Gordon Ramsay award.  The food is so good there!

Just woke up after a doze on the couch, although its not unexpected... I got a big rush of love remembering my wife gets here on Thursday !! Exactley a week after her visa was issued... holiday off work booked , house all ready , even my parents are coming over from France, The dog WILL be excited when she sees her again but right now is more intrested in licking her bits and chasing the imaginary ball I throw... Not unexpected but a pleasure I wish to share with you . ;D :) ;D :) ;D :)

Awww, that's so sweet!

My UP is going for a walk in the Dales a couple days ago.  There were supposed to be red squirrels in a specific bit of woods but we doubted we see any, if we did we expected they'd be a long way off through the binoculars.

Well there were *loads*!  At least 5 or 6 different ones in the space of a short while and a few of them circled round us and came *very* close and looked at us curiously.  They were big chunky ones (usually reds are much smaller than greys), obviously very well fed as there were lots of peanut shells on the ground as well as their normal fare  of pine cone nuts.  Very cute!!

I am off work for Thanksgiving! Being the 'new person' at work, I didn't even bother asking for it, although it is my first one with my family in a few years.
