A couple days late in posting, but my friend Chris sent a text while I was at work, asking if we had any room in our freezer. He then dropped by with a huge bag of meat, saying he had to make room in his freezer for some chicken pieces he'd ordered. When I had a chance to look in the bag, there were five bags of boneless chicken breasts, with enough for two meals in each, a couple packages of stew beef, and a pack of hear and serve bacon with 100 strips in it.

We are going to eat good for a while! With all the veggies I froze from our garden at mom's, it was a struggle to find room in the freezer. It feels good knowing it is so well stocked.

The weather today was amazing!  Good thing, too as we (me, hubby and friend) were playing at the Saltaire Festival.  It went off without a hitch--no nervousness and it was lots of fun!  I love these kinds of gigs!  Maybe next summer we'll have more of them!

Chris misjudged Xena's due date by about a week, and the puppies are here! I have managed to resist going over to ooh and aah for 22 hours now! It is getting harder to stay away but I wanted to give mom and babies time to bond. He hasn't been able to get an accurate count, but is pretty sure there are nine. He's sent pics and video and they are adorable. I now have puppy fever.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Unpacking boxes and finding stuff I thought I hadn't packed.  Actually spent the last couple days saying I should have brought this and that....opened a box today (completely slicing off my finger nail) and finding stuff I thought I donated!!

In addition to that, I got all my spices unpacked!!  YAY!!  Unfortunately tho, it looks like some how bugs got into our box with pasta in it as it all has little holes in the pastas :(  But did I mention I have my spices unpacked??

Hooray for unpacked spices! It is such a pain, and expense, to rebuy them all at once after a move. Sorry to hear about the nail. Ouch!

Popping on to say it is ten puppies.

Three today!

1. I found my diamond today! Thursday I lost one of the diamonds out of my fave emerald and diamond ring. I have worn it every day for 18 years, and have felt  lost without it since Thursday. I thought the diamond was lost forever, but I happened to see it on the carpet at work today! I am still dancing with joy.

2. I will be starting a new job soon. Things aren't so joyous where I am currently, so I am excited about this.

3. My friend Chris stopped by work today with an Amish made cream cheese filled pumpkin log. I love that guy!

I am planning to take it to the family owned shop where I bought it. If the guy who created it has retired, his son will be the one to fix it.

My area manager's boss promised me she'd try to sort me out some OT pay for covering for my manager for a month.  Well I got home and there was a surprise in the post for me--a pay slip with more than an extra £1000 on it!!   [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Very, very nice! It is great you are being compensated for all your efforts!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif]

Mom and my niece are up for the day, and spending the night at the hotel where hubby and I work. We went out for a late lunch/early dinner combo earlier, in a town about 50 miles away. While we were there, we saw snow flurries! JOY!

Looks like I am going to be a great aunt before the night is out! That isn't completely unexpected, but we were expecting it to be in about 1 1/2 weeks.
