Today I met Phatbeetle! She came into my shop and when she was leaving she asked if I was from UKY and I just stared at her blankly whilst my brain tried to make sense of the question. I hadn't even realized I was talking to an American. It only took us five years to run into each other!

Snow! It only lasted a couple minutes, but it most definitely snowed today!

Last night: Six pairs of Halloween socks for 93 cents, including tax! I popped into Walmart to get some French bread and decided to see if the Christmas socks were out yet. I didn't see any. But, tucked behind the fuzzy socks were some Halloween socks someone didn't bother taking down and putting in with Halloween clearance. They were two packs, and there were two packs of Peanuts and one of Hello Kitty.

Today: Flurries most of the afternoon and still continuing. We have a chance of snow Sunday, but nothing was forecast, until today, about the flurries. The forecast changed about the time the flurries arrived.

1. I knew I'd lost a bit on our diet, but when I stepped on the scales today I was pleasantly surprised to see I'm down 11.5 pounds! Joy! That makes all the telling myself 'NO!' every time I think about all the fabulous treats appearing on the shelves this time of year.

2. We came home from work to see our pain in the rear next door neighbor salting the shared staircase because of last night's snow, and came up to find he'd also salted our side of the shared deck.

I am going to be a great aunt again!  [smiley=smitten.gif] Shelby hasn't officially announced it, but a few of us know.

I randomly took the day off today to get my haircut. It's definitely a mullet right now.
But a very cute mullet according to my Brit. *grins*

My brit made breakfast this morning and now we're just chilling the day until my appointment and when we head up a bit north to visit with a fellow expat!

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Hubby and I were both invited to eat with the family who rented the meeting room at work for their Thanksgiving meal. We'd had lunch not long before so we thanked them and declined, but it was touching to be invited to eat with their family.

I checked how much more I owed on my student loan only to discover I unknowingly paid it off in full two weeks ago! [smiley=bootyshake.gif]

I thought that it was close, but never thought it'd be completely done by now. [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Feels so nice to not owe anyone money! 8)

I only wish they'd send out a 'congrats, you don't owe us any more money' email. If I hadn't checked online, the only way I would have known was because the automatic payments would have stopped (but I would have panicked thinking something went wrong with my account). ::)

Congratulations, TravelingFrog!  That must be one exciting discovery.  You'll have to plan something special to do with that extra money now.  My loans are still due if you're looking for suggestions....   ;) :P

Thanks Beatlemania and TamaMoo!

Time to figure out what to do with that spare chunk of change every month now. ;)

My In-Laws invited my and my Brit to an antiques fair today and I'm really glad we went! I was able to replace my favorite faux pearl necklace that broke with one a bit higher quality, it's knotted between each pearl and has a sterling silver clasp.

We also bought me a wedding ring! It's a beautiful 18k and platinum Edwardian mine cut diamond ring. It fits me perfectly! I'm so glad we went today. I just adore it. *grins*
