Unexpected pleasures....

A mighty thunderstorm rolling through. I haven't seen any lightning or heard thunder since I came here in October! I love thunderstorms....when I'm safe and warm inside!   

We are currently in the middle of one!  Rich said its the loudest thunder and brightest lightening hes seen in years!!  We love it but the dog is totally freaked out!!!

tried on a size 10 skirt in a shop.  it was too big!

Just got an email from one of my bestest friends in NY that she has extra time off and wants to come stay for a bit in June.  I am so excited!

Finally got my last grade for the Spring Semester.  It was an A, and I have a 4.0 gpa for the semester!

This isn't really an unexpected pleasure,its more of a unexpected relief. I brung Courtney up to our room in the morning to see Dale, as soon as I got up to walk out with her, a huge wasp flew where she was sitting on the bed and stung Dale. I am so relieved I got up at that moment wit her

Getting a surprise phone call from my aunt who I was very close to when I was in the US, but ever since moving here, I thought she had forgotten about me.  And we talked for a few hours.   

I got an email that I'm up for a post as a Neonatal Hearing screener...I would love to get that post but we'll see what they tell me about  the hours.

Finally made it down to Abbey National Bank today where hubs has had an account for years.  Easily added me to his current account, she took a copy of my passport and copy of the council tax bill with my name/address on it!  YAY!  Have a debit card and checks coming in the mail within 10 days!

edited to say:  It was an unexpected pleasure because I thought it would be a nightmare!!!

Found an old best best friend from the 80's by googling... and he emailed me back!!

Kaitlyn's orchestra teacher leant her a violin so she could still participate in her concert tonight...she played really well and looked lovely.  Took some photos...I'll post some in my gallery when I get a chance!
