Watching my 4 yr. old little girl and 20 month little boy playing dollies.

I love this age before they realize that maybe they "shouldn't" play with certain toys or that others opinions influence them so much.  They are so cute- she is bossing him around and he is just cuddling his dolly and giving it kisses.

They are growing up fast (sigh).

Getting to my friends house where we are staying in SF and finding fresh flowers and little notes around the house for us!

And it's not unexpected, but shopping at Trader Joes yesterday was so damn exciting!  Spending today shopping downtown in Union Square and can't wait!!!!  And finally starting to get over major jet lag. :D

My 19-year-old little sister has decided to come visit me in 10 days.  I miss her so much, and this will be a great experience for her.  I can't wait to take her out on the town and show her around.

Ok, the air is fresher here (vs from where I moved) -- it's considerably colder...but fresher, muttered grudgingly.

My sister sent me a parcel for my birthday and it contained a funky Oxacan wooden animal to join my collection.  She sends me one every time she goes to Mexico and this one (a peacock) tops them all!!!  It makes me so happy!! Yay sisters!

A co-worker was going through a box of old jewelry given by another teacher.  She pulled out a ring and said, oh look, a queen of hearts (it was a claddagh  ::)).  I could tell by looking at it that it was real gold.  My unexpected pleasure is that it was too small her for and fit me perfect.  It is real and I'm wearing it now.  ;D

We're having a really great thunderstorm here. I love thunderstorms! Curling up near a window (so i can see the lightening) with a good book!!

Was just sitting here on the computer with my Blackberry next to me.  Suddenly it lights up (sound was off) and it shows an incoming call (no one ever calls me on it except for DH and my office).  I look at the number and recognize it - my favorite cousin from Bombay whom I haven't heard from in months!!  Yay - had a nice long talk with him about where the heck he's been all this time!

I knew there was a good reason why I didn't go running this morning... ;D

My aunt digging up some old photo albums and showing me some lovely old photos of my mother as a glamorous young girl. Also a gorgeous one of my grandmother as a toddler (from about 1904).

A pair of ducks out on my front lawn... poking around for things to eat, and drinking from a fresh puddle.   :)
