About 20 degrees cooler today than it has been for over a week.  Yahoo!  :)
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

They were giving away a few old laptops at hubby's workplace, and he managed to snag one for me.  It needs a power supply and an operating system, some tinkering around, and I'll be set. :)

Got the windows open to air out the bedrooms this morning.  Bring on the sun and warmer temps for June!

Watching two parents struggling to make their children behave at the grocery store, I thought -- I'm so glad I'm not a parent. :)

The funny comics/stories I've found on here today!  I had a really bad weekend, and it just felt so good to laugh!   :)

With the utmost respect to parents, I have to say that I think this all the time. Honestly, I do have so much respect for parents. Because I know I couldn't do it!!

My UP for today is working really hard on a paper all day and taking a break to visit UKY for a bit and really getting the comic relief that I needed. Still have 2,000 words to go (out of 5,000) but I feel like I have a second wind now!

I've had those moments in the grocery store....but tonight when my toddler put his chubby arms around my neck and I just breathed in those golden curls, it's pure heaven.  Or when my daughter shows me the pasta necklace she made in nursery school...or asks me how my ankle is (since the tumble down the stairs)...or dresses up as Cinderella and dances...I could never imagine life without them...

I had a patient today that I've been caring for a while doesn't speak english but today he learned "Give me five babee"  which he surprised me saying it after I did his bandages and that's my UP everyday when I get off from work I have a grin on my face and not many people can say they leave work with a smile on their face.
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Elephants!

At work this morning, my boss returned from her break and announced "I didn't see the elephants."

Huh?  ???  (I thought she had seriously lost the plot.)

Turns out the circus is in town and was setting up right next to the place where I work.  So...popped outside a little later that morning and there they were!!!  Elephants!!!  :)

(I have issues w/circuses, but I still think elephants are amazing, intelligent, wondrous creatures and it's a pleasure to see them...)
