I stopped by my best friend's house yesterday to find out it was my god-daughter's first dance!!  It was a Daddy & Daughter Dance, she's 6.  So I got to share in the getting ready festivities.  She looked so adorable.  Twirling in the mirror with her dress.  While her mom was getting the camera ready she asked me how to drink punch without spilling on her white dress...HOW CUTE!?!?

I was happy that I was there to take pictures and share that with her.  As they pulled out the driveway she yelled out "Bye Aunt Meka - I love you!" I wanted to cry.  It will always be a nice memory.

As he should. For he is royalty.

He's been through a lot lately.  Persians can have rather wonky pads on their paws, and it makes them prone to developing infected toes, particularly as Smokey is an indoor kitty - no garden, 2nd floor flat.

He had to have antibiotic treatment and an injected painkiller.

We bought him a lovely slicker brush to groom him with.

BUT, he went back to the see the vet and he's recovered.  She trimmed back his claws and remarked on what a lovely coat he has - all thanks to meticulous daily combs and regular trims.

He is a very sweet-natured fella.

Spogs.  (The little jelly bits covered w/100's and 1000's in licorice allsorts.)  They are Kaitlyn's all time favourite treat.  We found a place in Edinburgh that sells just the spogs, but haven't seen them in the US.  My mother came home from the grocery store today w/something nearly identical!  (Imported from Australia, I think.)  Kaitlyn now thinks she may just survive until we get back to Scotland.... ;)
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

DH telling me that he's willing to get a treadmill even though we really shouldn't spend the money because even though he already loves me, he wants me to love myself just as much.  :)

Brief hijack: what do you have to consider when you pick a treadmill, MeShell? I take it from the ones I've looked at online that you need to get one that has a big enough motor for running rather than just walking. I need one that folds. But what else?

First day at my new job went really well!  I know it's only the first day, but I really felt like I was among people of somewhat like mind (read easy going).  It was like night & day to my last job where the manager always had her knickers in the tightest possible knot ever.  No tightly knotted knickers for me, thank you very much! ;D

Having two recruiters busting their butts to find me work.... some of them are so flakey but these two seem really good.  Fingers crossed one of them finds me a good job because Im losing my mind here! :P
