That's fantastic!  Lots of good news today!  Brilliant!  I'm doing a happy dance for you and your brother too.

My brother just called....from KUWAIT!!!  HE'S NO LONGER IN IRAQ!!!  Doing the happy dance here...they'll be spending some time in Kuwait, then back to a US site for demobilization, then HOME!!!

That is fantastic news!!  Add me to the happy dance crowd. :D

Thanks everyone, we are soooo relieved.  Still not sure exactly when he'll be home...he doesn't even know for sure yet.  But he's headed this direction!!!  ;D

Good news crabbit.expat!  You all must be so happy!

My UP is finding out my husband's relatives in India (who've never been out of India before and didn't even have passports) not only got their visas for the US on the first try but are on a plane on their way to the States right now! And my in-laws have offered to fly us over there to see them all!

And...I just finished a 5k run with my boss which we did in quite good time.  I thought I might collapse but it felt ok when we were done.  Just hope I'll be ok at the marathon on Sunday. :-\\\\  At least we'll enjoy Edinburgh!

DH and I went to our favourite pub tonight and while sitting on the patio, a patron left the pub - on a SCHWINN BEACH CRUISER wearing flip flops and baggies.  It was a bit of a double take!!

And then... while on the way to the toilet, I bumped into someone and she said "oops sorry".  How do you spot the Canadian in a crowd...?

this is a country pub, literally, it is an old milking shed on a dairy farm.  To see those two things in one night there is almost too much to take!

The sky was without a cloud, it was very warm, I wore my shorts and tevas.  A perfect evening!

I don't know whether to put this here on in the immigration boards...but I have just received confirmation that I have won a complete bastard of a case...an illegal immigrant married to a UK national, with two kids here....a really nice bloke who has been here since 2000 and has had his case outstanding for THREE years....I am so bloody happy!!!!

Woohoo!!!  Good news all round!!!  :)

It actually rained off and on all day here, which kept the temp from climbing into the triple digits.  What a relief!!!  However, despite it being an unexpected pleasure for me, it's probably an incovenient annoyance for Kaitlyn.  She's away at a church camp right now...they've got to be soaked!  :-\\\\

Not really unexpected, but the fun of showing my son how a snapdragon flower works was too much fun. Now when we are out on our walks, he stops at every one he sees to open it's 'mouth'. Oh, and another UP, hubs had to go to London, and took the parents in law with him....me and my son are on our own 'til sunday!! YAY!!!!
