Pulling into the Starbuck's drive-thru this morning, realizing my ex-boyfriend was in front of me and when I got up to the window to pay, was told by the cashier to keep my money, that my coffee had already been paid for.  Saved me $4.20  ;D

That's great!  If any of my ex-boyfriends had been in the car in front of me, once I got up to the window the cashier would've said, "That'll be $8.40, please.  The guy in front of you said you'd cover his."

That's way too funny   ;D

My UP, got an unexpected phone call today from someone very special.
Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

Fixing a great dinner when I thought we did not have anything worth fixing - pork chops baking in a "foil bag" I found in the back of the cupboard, some okra I forgot was in the crisper, found one last potato in the bowl so I cut it up, drizzled w/ olive oil and rosemary, have them roasting, and leftover cornbread from the beef stew two days ago, and a can of black eye peas (wish I had fresh but oh, well).

I've a couple today....

1)  Having a really busy day at work so I may actually have some money by the end of the week (the joys of self employment!)

2)  Arranging to see a lovely ex on Thursday, just a few weeks before I see him at his wedding

3)  And the best of all...my utterly lovely new boyf is whisking me off to Brighton for the weekend, having booked us a table at a very cool Soul Food restaraunt that was in 'Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares' last year...

 ;D

Woohoo Vicky!    ;)
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Ahhhh, that's better!
It's still very cold and windy, but the rain's off and there's a blue sky out there.   Sea looks very rough... huge waves crashing onto the rocks.  Went for a little drive this morning to see a field of alpacas a few miles away... they're so cute, and curious about people.

Asking for a week's holiday on very short notice because I just need a break from life right now and my manager (without knowing I am soo stressed and really needed it) approved it. He is a lovely guy! No real plans, can't wait to just chill!  ;)

Cool for you, Jules.  I know exactly how you feel, luckily I'm on a two week paid break from my work and it's come at a time when I needed it the most.  Enjoy yours!!!  ;D
