Alicia - You all look beautiful!

I had another UP today...Went into a card store and there was a display of small St. George Cross Flags.  (I'm in the US) How perfect for watching footie in the local pub tomorrow morning!

Alicia - welcome back!  We missed you!!!  Congratulations on the mermaids - it looks absolutely beautiful.  Memories for a lifetime!!!  Well done.

My UP...  Actually having a good week at work, people thinking I had something to contribute and I forced a change to make things run better - which they now do as of 5:00 last night.  Boss comes in next week though, so I know it won't last  :P

The cowboy print Cath Kidston sleeping bag was on sale at Millets for £22!   :)  At thirty pounds, it was just a little too much to justify, but at £22-well, the kids go camping and Emily's going to Reading Festival and it's useful to have another.................and it's cowboy print!  :) :) :)

Being so proud of my little girl (and a little shocked, too, I admit) when she came out of a museum with my parents and the tour guide (an English woman in her sixties) told her she was the best behaved child they had ever had there!

It was very clever how they set it up- they gave her a clipboard and she had to make a note every time she saw a horse.  At the end, they gave her a little bag of treats because she counted all the horses.

She just turned four last week- well, sometimes they surprise you for the better, I guess.

My UP today was taking little one to the playground this morning before it got too hot and finding a "I love America" carnival at the playground. They had pony rides, snow cones, ect. We had so much fun we never made it to the playground because of the carnival, that and it was hotter than hell. Went out for Mexican for lunch later at our favorite taco place, was great. Then just hanging around at home doing a whole lot of nothing for the rest of the day. Little one is watching a cartoon movie in her room now winding down for bed and DH and I are hanging out having a cocktail watching a movie. This was the first day that has felt like an actual laid-back day of summer because usually we are so busy. Love it.  ;D

I have many UPs today  ;D

1. I'm really excited that tomorrow is my first day at my first job here in the UK. Its the job that I really wanted and I got it thanks to the help of a fellow UKYer!

2. DH and I got up early this morning and went over to a pub in Greenwich and had our first traditional english breakfast.  We had a lovely time and the food was great.

3. We went to a Tescos that we don't normally shop at and my husband found Michelob Ultra.  [smiley=guitarist.gif] It is the only beer that I REALLY like and I have never seen it here before. (I've heard that its around, but this is my first sighting)

Today has been a great day!

Getting up early to go to the flower market, coming back with gorgeous bunches of flowers (my new favorites: delphiniums!), settling down with a cool drink, flipping on the telly, and seeing Creature Comforts is on!  ;D
