Finishing a half-marathon today!

I was only planning on running 8-10 miles, but I felt so great at 10 I kept going. I didn't run a great time, but since I haven't been training I'm VERY pleased with myself! Knees are killing me, but ankle held up well! COOLEST race! It was the
first NYC Half Marathon and just over 10,000 people were running. It was a lap around Central Park and then down 7th Avenue through Times Square, west on 42nd Street to the West Side Highway, past Ground Zero and finished at Battery Park. I really needed this confidence booster since the NYC Marathon is in 9 weeks and I've been feeling like I wouldn't be able to do it.
I have to give part of my success today to the weather. It was cool and rainy. If it had been a typical hot & humid August NYC day I think I would have called it quits in Times Square.
