The rare luxury of surfing the 'net while watching TV.  I love it when DH brings home his laptop!

Free peaches, fresh from the tree!!!  My sister and I picked them ourselves last night....three big buckets full.  Delicious!
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Went to a bootsale today and found a brand new Kenwood new york smoothie maker for only £10. It would've cost almost £70 in the shops ;D

Finishing a half-marathon today!
 ;D
I was only planning on running 8-10 miles, but I felt so great at 10 I kept going.  I didn't run a great time, but since I haven't been training I'm VERY pleased with myself!  Knees are killing me, but ankle held up well!  COOLEST race!  It was the first NYC Half Marathon and just over 10,000 people were running. It was a lap around Central Park and then down 7th Avenue through Times Square, west on 42nd Street to the West Side Highway, past Ground Zero and finished at Battery Park.  I really needed this confidence booster since the NYC Marathon is in 9 weeks and I've been feeling like I wouldn't be able to do it.

I have to give part of my success today to the weather.  It was cool and rainy.  If it had been a typical hot & humid August NYC day I think I would have called it quits in Times Square.

Having a lovely chat with my dad after not talking for a few weeks due to crappy scheduals.
