A real, honest-to-goodness rainstorm!  Real rain!  As in, the ground is actually all wet, not just little speckles of damp!  AND the outside temperature dropped over 20 degrees...it's now a comfortable 68!  Woohoo!!!  ;D

And a sweet email from a new friend, telling me he was thinking of me... [smiley=blush.gif]

When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Really tired because it's been a long, long day and I had a really pleasant taxi driver to the hotel and then a Brit checks me in!  He's from South London.  Made me wish the 6 hours I just spent on a plane was going east to the UK and not west to Seattle.

The expected pleasure was working from home this morning. The unexpected one was not having a single call on the "help" line that I monitor - so I can sneak in the time to do a few house chores while I'm here!

I got the job! Outside of the unexpected pleasure of getting the job itself, it's located on my tube line.  Yay, no changing lines!

Hubby's going to be away ALL day -- like from 6 am until late.  He's doing the Yorkshire "Three Peaks" Challenge with some mates from work today. ;D

Seattle!  Had a very nice 12 mile run this morning through Elliot Bay Park.  Traffic free!  It was overcast and all misty and the temperature is perfect for running.  The views are spectacular.  Plus, the perfect shuffle on my iPod!  I love mornings like this!

Edited...I forgot to mention Pikes Place Public Market!  SO neat!  I went briefly yesterday and got loads of organic dried fruits and some lovely, huge fresh Washington State Peaches.  They're gorgeous!  I'm hoping I get a little more free time to explore.  kicking myself since I've never been here before.  So far, it's a great little city!

Waiting to get on the bus,a queue was behind me and I heard a loud voice say "Yeah I can't stand Americans, they are so loud and think they are so much better then us", I turned around to make a comment, and it ended up being my MIL and SIL winding me up..lol we had such a giggle fit about it , everyone on the bus was in stitches.

Woo hoo!

Not unexpected that it was my birthday, but it was unexpected that I got loads of good loot!  New clothes, jewelry, bathy stuff, new camera and some good books (I collect them)....plus had a lovely sunny day with family and friends.  Since I've only lived here three years (and in fact, where we currently live only one year), I don't expect to get calls about my birthday too often, but several friends rang and wished me a happy day and that was really special.

Another pleasure, I made a chocolate cheesecake, and drizzled warm caramel sauce and melted chocolate on each piece, with a dollop of whipped cream.  Delicious. (Godiva caramel sauce is out of this world- sugar, honey, maple syrup, brown sugar, butter and cream)

I have several...

1. Went into Woodbridge with Df and had lunch with him, nice day, great food, and of course the company was awesome.

2. I got the oppurntinuty to explore Woodbridge on my own after DF went back to work 3 hours to myself and I made the most of it I got some wedding bits, and just walked around and talke with locals, I found all the products that I used in the States in Boots or Woolworths, so I feel very at home

3. I am the happiest I have been in 8 months

4. Dream house shopping with Df is wonderful, and dream car shopping in the same

5. I finally got to drive (meaning I got the nerve to actually get behind the wheel, after being asked 50 times to do so) and I did really really well, stick shift and all.

I have been having a great week thus far.
