DH came home!! DH came home!!  my three weeks of single parentdom are over!!  Yay...

And..

I have to say, after dreading this latest group of houseguests (MIL and her two sisters) I have really enjoyed having them around.  And they are really enjoying themselves as well.  I felt a wee bit frantic last week but now DH is here, he can do some of the looking after/driving them around.  They're off to Scotland for a few days now so we'll get a few days respite and a chance for DH and I to go down the pub together.

Good for you MrsPink!  It's great to have DH home, I'll bet!!  My DH is going to the US for a month soon and although I won't be a single parent, I'm going to miss him tons!

And I have to say I am really impressed with my parents as houseguests.  They have been here a week now (2 more to go!) and they have been just great.  No trouble, very considerate, using the bus and tube all on their own, no nagging or criticism.  I'm a lucky daughter!!

Thanks Geeta!  In the end, you'll just be glad that you had that time with your parents, even if they can be a pain sometimes!  But if they're independent, then that is 90% of the battle right there.  The worst houseguests are the ones who expect you to do everything for them.

Not entirely unexpected, but we booked our air tickets to Spain yesterday! ;D

Not unexpected, really, but definitely a pleasure: a cold, foggy, rainy day!  Can't wait to go have some soup.

My very best friend from childhood calling me last night out of the blue to tell me she's engaged!  ;D I already had heard.. small town living.. haha but was so great to talk to her! No matter how long it's been it's always like we never grew up and went our separate ways. She's awesome!

Had a great day yesterday with DF he and I registered for marriage (very easy and the woman was so very helpful)...then we had 4 hours to kill so we had a great time in Bury St Edmunds, never laughed so hard in my life.  The weather was perfect, and Df was so sweet all day.

The first day that does not feel like summer! It is overcast today, not getting out of the high 70's and looks like it may rain all day! I love days like that.
