Ooh another one!  My dad's cousin who lives in Harrow came this afternoon with his wife and sister in law (basically my uncle and two aunts).  They were supposed to arrive at 1pm but due to traffic didn't get here until 3:30!  But, the UP about it all is that we were supposed to go out to lunch, but I decided to just make lunch at home instead so that the elders could all visit.  I was a bit frightened that I couldn't pull it off, but it turned out great!  All parents/aunts/uncle/husband were very complimentary!   ;D

While BF may think this is an IA, I think it's a UP!  ;D

His flight was delayed leaving Columbus and is arriving in Newark at 8:30pm and his 9:45pm VA flight to the UK is not leaving until 3:00AM, so I'm going to the airport to see him.  He's going to see if he can get on the 8:00AM tomorrow instead, so I may get him for an extra night.   ;D

Discovering that I will be able to take a diet Coke on the plane after all...as long as it's one that I've bought AFTER I go through security!  They're also now allowing limited amounts of cosmetics/toiletries...I'll post details in the travel section of the board.  (Toothpaste!!!  Yay!!!)
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Seeing the shocked expression on the face of a guy that works in a shop next to mine when I told him that I will be 37 on Friday. He thought I was around 28!! Woohoo!   ;D

I am leaving a day early for a quick trip to the States.  Ashton and I have been walking around with huge smiles on our faces all day.

Not a great UP but - my transfer case in my 4WD had to be worked on and the cheapest quote I got was almost two thousand to replace, found out today they are able to rebuild my current one and is only going to be around $900. The fact I have to pay that much for work on my car is not great news but the final tally being a lot cheaper than what I though it would be was better news.

I was looking on ebay for some comfortable trousers to wear to work, and I found this line in one of the item discriptions: "These we won as part of an auction the other day with a top.....but we dont wear trousers, so here they are."  :o   :-X

Maybe I've just been up too long, but I'm pictureing people running around with only shirts and no trousers on.

Finding a combo of two of my fave things in a charity shop......a music book of childrens songs and nursery rhymes, dated.....wait for it......1915.....!!!! Music and antiques are two of my favorite things. :D The illustration on the cover was dated by the artist, and there is the copyright date on the inside. Also, someone bought it for their nephew and and signed it, and dated it 1919! This is definately the original, not a repro. I just LOVE when I find things like this!

Getting some lovely roses as a surprise, and a Rafi's curry.  The man in the shop had just made a dhal and offered some to my husband to take home and try. I love it.

Used our MagiMix for the first time tonight, tried out the juicer function.  I never knew oranges smelled so wonderful!  I'm all ready to start juicing tomorrow morning! :)

An unexpected package from my boyfriend arrived at my office!  Sweet letter and lots of goodies!  Oh!  And realizing that he will be here to visit in 3 weeks!!!  I am so excited I could just burst! ;D
