A friend brought me a bottle of Salsa Ranch salad dressing from the US.
That was a nice surprise on its own.

The second unexpected pleasure was when i tasted it and nearly died of happiness because it was so good!

And the third, and possibly best, unexpected pleasure was when i made my DH taste it... my DH who never, ever eats salad... and when he tasted it, he liked it so much that he said he'd definitely eat salad if it had that stuff on it!

I keep telling my DH when the Uk latches onto ranch dressing it will be a salad revolution.

That's brilliant!

Can I just say...the possibility of losing a passport is a really good reason to register with the US Embassy when over here.

I have to agree with you but my DH would have to disagree with you though, he says Ranch dressing smells.
