Im going to my sisters wedding in Chicago in March. The hotel she is having the reception at gave us a discounted rate of $99 per night. So at four nights and the cost of the plane ticket I thought it would be well over $1000 but today I saw that expedia actually had that hotel discounted this week and I got the room for about $50 and the entire trip was just under £500 including tax and insurance!!

DH discovered a Polish grocer right near our work and we went in to check it out on Saturday.  It was awesome!!!  They not only had pyrogies but they also had egg noodles! and dill pickles, and Jell-o!  There were tons of things that I used in North America but can't find here.  It will be a regular stop for me from now on.

my sister is taking our entire family to Maui for her 10th anniversary - not for two years though, and it will involve Christmas with my family, and possibly DH's (I'd rather poke my eyes out with hot forks than spend Christmas with them) but afterwards, a week in San Diego!!!  It could be good and something to look forward to!

Our head of UK practice telling me I'm doing an awesome job

Catching up with DH on the phone just now

Sending a pic of me from last night to DH and him telling me 'you look so beautiful in that picture'

And getting lots of other compliments from my other friends too!   ;D
