Today's weather is an unexpected pleasure...nice and sunny and warm with a slight breeze.  Too bad it's supposed to rain tomorrow!  ::)

Yesterday's unexpected pleasure was getting a phone call from my sister.  No one understands my sense of humour like she does, and vise versa.

Today's unexpected pleasure was finding the new manageress not that bad...  darn near likable, in fact.  Not enough to make me want to stay there... but, I have to admit, I didn't dislike her...and, I really thought I would.

And today's unexpected pleasure therefore is... it's not raining. Yet.  ::)

Writing a new poem....even if it was on the dark side.  OK, it was down right depressing, LOL, but good poetry nontheless, and definitely unexpected from me today.

Someone telling me I'm doing an exemplary job at my volunteer gig.  Being a stay-at-home mom, I don't get a lot of job related praise (aside from the occasional sticky kiss), and this was really nice to hear.

How could I be soooooo wrong?  She's not likable, she's not even tolerable, she's detestable.  She's not as bad as I thought she would be, she's worse!  So much for first impressions, eh? ::)

Anyway, last night's unexpected pleasure was going out for a drink with a friend I made at work (her last day there was yesterday...she has found freedom from the place...) and she gave me a beautiful silver and amber ring that had been hers and I had admired on many occasion.  It was such a thoughtful gift, and totally unexpected.

talking and laughing (to my usually grumpy dad)..  and have him joking with me and  making me laugh..  It was  refreshing  and  reminded me of  the olden sweeter days
