not really unexpected, but...

I gave my dog a bath this morning, and as a special treat, i used Lush on him ... 'Sweetie Pie' shower jelly... it's purple and sparkly, and now my lovely dog smells like a gorgeous jam doughnut!  ;D

That is so cool!!!!!

I received 2 items from my Amazon wishlist from a good friend as an early Birthday gift.  It was so nice to see that parcel in the post!!!!

I took my car to the dealer this week for an oil change. They wanted over $400 to do my brakes and insisted I needed new rotors. :( 

I called the local mechanic yeserday late in the afternoon to see what they charged. I was fully expecting to get the runaround due to the holiday and that he might not have the parts, etc. Also, because it's a tiny mountain community, lots of businesses up here chare MORE because they have less competition.  He said come over now, did the brakes, told me my rotors would be fine if they were turned, and only charged me $180. Now I can do my holiday driving/visiting w/o being worried about my brakes!! Yay!  :)

aw Jessie getting a letter today from a little friend of hers that moved to Australia more than a  year ago...she's been talking about him for ages but we didn't have his address..his mum promised to send us a note when they settled there...she's sitting in the living room clutching his picture it's soo cute!!

taking my wee newborn a walk and having all these strangers coo over her.

they don't realise she wakes up every 2 hours . . .  :D ;)

My dad telling me what he got me for my birthday ...A RICKSHAW ;D ..it's for my charity challenge at the mermaid parade ..I'll be pedalling for NSPCC ..he stumbled on in when he went to the flea market and he said that just screamed Alicia... ;D so we'll decorate it  aquatic like ...he wasn't too keen about me rollerskating in a mermaid costume..LOL!!


now I just need those coloured bubbles and I'm set ;D
