Finding out I COULD participate in the charity fundraiser cheeseburger lunch sale today at work. I am the lone vegetarian in a laboratory of approx 60 people, and someone remembered to make me a veggie burger! YAY! :)

At 4 am, after being awake feeding, burping and changing Jonah, feeling like death warmed over,  his tiny hand started rubbing my cheek and all of a sudden, I didn't mind being dog tired.  I was just happy to be cuddling my beautiful son.  I know it wasn't intentional on his part, but it was still a little bit of magic.

Getting a call from my manager today that I just got a colossal pay increase (over 12%).  I nearly cried I was so happy!  He has no idea how this will help with everything Simon and I have ahead of us.

Incredibly lovely day out with the family.  Brilliant picnic at a lovely spot with lovely weather and one very well-behaved two-year-old.  Got to have an afternoon nap - heaven at this point in the pregnancy.  Now it's cooling down at last and the rain is on its way.

We got the park road open today!!!  (Only about 4 weeks late!)  Visitor centre is still closed due to no power, but we're hoping to have it up and running by Friday.  Still 2-4 feet of snow, but about 60 degrees, sunny, and GORGEOUS!!!!  I spent the afternoon at the park...the air smells sooooo good at 10,000+ feet elevation.  It was heaven!!!   ;D
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Although I know many of us UKY's are kvetching about it, I love these warm days we are *finally* having in England!!!  It has been a bit warm some afternoons (without A/C) BUT the lonnnng mornings & evenings are simply wonderful -- I leave the windows open & it's like the freshest air circulating all through my house.  Plus hubby & I are frequently out in our garden in the evenings.  Mmmmmmmm.  Also, I live in a stone house with outer walls at least 6" thick -- so it doesn't really get THAT hot inside, in the afternoons -- more so on the upper two floors.  This weather *almost* makes the long dark winters & chilly, rainy springs/autumns here worth it.  It's not stifling heat like in the States (where A/C is an absolute must). ;D ;D ;D

Agreed, Carolyn!  I am all about this weather!  I spent all of yesterday afternoon in the garden with a big book and I have a mean sunburn on my shoulders to show for it, but I can live with that!  I love that it's not dark at nearly 11 p.m. and I love having the windows open all the time.  It's gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous right now!  ;D
