Yesterday, Peter was told that he would have to go to the Games Developer Conference in San Jose, CA in March. When he checked ticket prices online, the prices were only £350 return. Which means I get to go! We are going to spend the weekend before in San Francisco visiting my brothers and their families and after the conference, spend a week in L.A. with my parents. I am so happy because we hadn't expected to be able to go until May, which would have been a full year since I had last seen my family.

...now I just hope I get my passport back from the Home Office without any problems.

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Brief thread hijack - pamela do you fly into San Jose?? That would be SO much easier for us as my parents are in Santa Cruz county and to pick us up from SFO is a bit of a drag for them. But I've never seen competitive prices into San Jose....

No, we are flying to SFO, which is fine since my brother lives in San Mateo and we don't need to be in San Jose for a few days. I would imagine you would have to fly to Chicago or Dallas, or someplace first to get directly to San Jose.

We're arriving back in Edinburgh on the 19th....and my groceries are already ordered and scheduled to be delivered that evening.  Yahoo!!!  No trecking to the store w/two jet-lagged and cranky kids, trying to schlep everything back on the bus!  :)
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.
