We switched Courtney over from a bassinet to a cot and she took to it great.

my ex husband came over to my house tonight to pick up some stuff I had in storage.  He asked about Raisin, and I called her.  She came out into the entry way and took one look at him and walked up the stairs.  He mumbed, "I guess she dosent remember me".  I smiled as soon as he drove away.  Last time Ill have to see him.  Horay.

Met my husband and a work friend (from the job I just quit) in city centre for lunch today...then off to spend DH's money!  Well I intended to get a Valentine card & small pressie for DH -- which I did...but I also ended up buying myself a CD and two new poetry anthologies.  Hehehe -- I called & told him not to get me any Valentine pressies 'cause I already bought them for myself. ;) ;D

My husband graduates from college this December, has been a long three years (he had previously gone before joining the Navy) and his parents just informed us they are sending us to Las Vegas for a week as a graduation gift to him! They are going to pay for our flight and hotel!

It will be next spring before we go, BUT STILL!!!!!!

My brother made it safe and sound from Iraq to Scotland.  Took three days....layovers in Kuwait and Germany....but he made it and has two weeks before he has to head back.  Woohoo!  ;D
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

I interviewed for my internship this summer (here in TN March-mid Aug, not to be confused with the one in Manchester starting late Aug) it went great! I'm 99% sure I've got it. And I found out the amount I'll be paid is almost exactly enough to cover the cost of my flight, travel insurance, and visa application fee, with a bit left over!!!  :)

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Got an email from an old student/friend who worked for me in Boston.  She was my favourite caller in the fundraising room.  She found me on-line and wrote out of the blue.  I have not talked to her since she came to visit in 2001.  Really made my day!
